Having good times with my cousin and his wife on the south side of Chicago
Last weekend I was visiting with my cousin in Chicago and had a very nice time there. His wife and he have lived in the city for the last three or four years, and they tell me they feel really at home there. It’s easy to find nearly anything you want there in the city, and often right within the same neighborhood you’re staying in!
The three of us went out on Navy Pier while I was there and had a little boat ride, and also took a ride on the ferris wheel, which gave a really really pretty view of the city at night. After that we started to play a round of putt-putt and shortly after we started I threw out my back. Now you know this type of problem has been giving me trouble since my mid twenties, and so far I find that a good round of massage therapy will tend to get me right back in line within only an hour or two. The big problem here was that my regular massage therapist was not in Chicago alongside me, so I had only one option: to take a gamble on a masseur whom I did not know or feel very comfortable with.
Fortunately, as I say, you can find anything you’re in need of in Chicago. I did a fast online search for “massage therapy Chicago IL” and within just a couple minutes of scanning through the Chicago massage therapist reviews I had set up an appointment with a top respected masseur only a few minutes away. Good stuff. And hour later I was smiling about how I had a better massage than back home, a really great experience and got my twisted back all right as rain!
It turns out that the massage spa I found was operated by the same clinicians who operate the Chicago weight loss centers that my cousin’s wife Janet has been getting help from for the last four weeks. To be honest, she looks the nicest I’ve ever seen her. Well, that was about all I did in the big city. I could only stay there for a weekend and most of it got taken up trying to fix my back, but I nevertheless had a positive experience more or less and am anticipating spending significantly more time there. I don’t think I’ll do any more mini golf, though.
